Pixie Lott sizzles while posing in steamy birthday photoshoot as she reveals turning 25 has put her at a 'turning point' in life

With several music awards and top ten singles under her belt, she's achieved quite a lot in her 25 years.

But as she celebrated her birthday with a sizzling photoshoot on Tuesday, Pixie Lott revealed that she's hit a 'turning point', in her life.

Speaking to Notion magazine, the star - who will be taking on the lead role in the West End production of Breakfast At Tiffany's later this year - said: 'I feel like it’s a bit of a turning point – new year, turning 25, new music, first lead acting role – so much to look forward to in 2016.'

Clad in a floor length crimson dress for the cover shoot, the Mama Do hitmaker looks phenomenal in the photographs, emerging herself in a swimming pool and posing with the damp fabric clinging to her every curve.

Sporting dramatic purple eye shadow and a slick of pink gloss on her plump pout, Pixie stuns in the sultry shoot, running a hand through her honey coloured tresses and parting her lips seductively.

Staring down the lens with a steely look of determination in her eyes, she seemed ready to take on the new challenges in the year ahead.

Speaking about what she would be reflecting on as she hit her 25th year, the star - who is dating model Oliver Cheshire - explained she wouldn't be worrying about the little things.

'I love celebrating my birthday big with family and friends,' she said. 'I think I have learnt to take everything with a pinch of salt and do what makes you happy!

As well as her West End stint, Pixie will no doubt be enjoying the success of her music in the New Year.

Using her birthday as the date to debut her new track, What Now featuring Akelle, she gushed: 'I can’t wait to do more. I’m so excited for everyone to hear what we did.'

She also revealed that she'd been working on new music in Los Angeles over the past year, explaining why she's been relatively quiet on the music scene following her 2014 self-titled album.

With several big projects in the pipeline, the star will no doubt be relying on the support of her beau Oliver, who previously confessed that the pair were too busy to consider marriage.

Last year, Pixie echoed her boyfriend of five year's sentiments, saying: 'Honestly, people are obsessed with it!

'I always get asked "when are you getting married?" As soon as I started going out with Oliver I was asked it, and I still get asked in it every interview.

'I don't know why that is, maybe it's just something that people want to hear about, I don't know. I think male celebrities probably don't get asked it as much.'

PIXIE LOTT PREMIERES NEW TRACK WITH WSTRN’S AKELLE CHARLES

It’s Pixie Lott’s 25th birthday today and to celebrate, she’s revealing a brand new track with Akelle Charles from WSTRN.

Pixie is starting 2016 with a bang! Not only does our NOTION 69 cover girl turn 25 today, but she takes the lead role in the West End production of Breakfast at Tiffany’s later this year and has loads of new music on the horizon, including this brand new track with WSTRN’s Akelle Charles.

Fans will no doubt be looking forward to new work by Pixie, who teased on Twitter earlier this month that she’d be releasing new material this year. The soulful love song, produced by PRGRSHN, tells the two sides of a conflicted love story and makes use of both artist’s soulful harmonies. Akelle’s group WSTRN made the BBC Sound of 2016 longlist and are featured in our latest issue of NOTION Magazine, issue 71. We love that Pixie and Akelle have collaborated and are looking forward to hearing more from Pixie and Akelle this year!

We spoke to the birthday girl about making the track with Akelle, her plans this year and, importantly, what celebrations she has lined up for today!

NOTION: Did you and Oliver have a great Christmas and New Year?
PIXIE: I had a great Christmas and New Year with my family and Oliver in Verbier, Switzerland. Oliver arrived on Boxing Day and we skied most days 

 I feel like it’s a bit of a turning point – new year, turning 25, new music, first lead acting role – so much to look forward to in 2016.
NOTION: 25 is a big year. What are you most excited about this year? 
PIXIE: I feel like it’s a bit of a turning point – new year, turning 25, new music, first lead acting role – so much to look forward to in 2016. I am especially excited for everyone to hear my new music. Music is my passion but I’m also excited to play Holly Golighty in Breakfast At Tiffany’s. It’s such an iconic role and a dream role for me – she’s amazing! I have not performed on a West End stage since I was 12 and performed in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang while studying at Italia Conti. It’s going to be nerve wracking but I can’t wait.
NOTION: Birthdays are also a time of reflection of past years. What has been the most important lesson you have learned so far?
PIXIE: I love celebrating my birthday big with family and friends.  I think I have learnt to take everything with a pinch of salt and do what makes you happy!

NOTION: Let's talk about your new track with Akelle! It's a fantastic track and your voices complement each other perfectly. Did you enjoy working with him? 
PIXIE: Yes, he is so talented and easy to work with! I can’t wait to do more.  I’m so excited for everyone to hear what we did. I wanted to premiere it on my birthday to give my fans a little treat from me – I hope they like it as much as I do!
NOTION: How did you come to work together?
PIXIE: It was great writing and being in the studio with him, and the producer PRGRSHN.  We just went into the studio for literally a couple of hours and sang lyrics and melodies and it just came out so easy! They’re such talented people and lovely to be around. I love WSTRN’s music – ‘In2’ is such a great track and was one of my favourite tunes of last year.

I wanted to premiere it on my birthday to give my fans a little treat from me – I hope they like it as much as I do!

NOTION: Your fans will be dying to know what other new music you have lined up. Can you reveal anything?
PIXIE: I’m so excited for my fans to hear what I have been working on in LA! I spent lots of time there last year and have written tons of new tracks.

NOTION: Lastly, how will you be celebrating today?
PIXIE: I have been celebrating with my friends over the weekend in Verbier and I fly back at lunchtime today! I’m having a cartoon character themed party in London – you have to go for it when it’s your birthday.. I love celebrating woo!!

She flaunted plenty of flesh with the fashion on Strictly Come Dancing.

But, now that's all over, Pixie Lott was strictly in exhibitionist mode when she stepped out at a party in central London on Wednesday - displaying plenty of side-boob.

The blonde beauty, 24, wore a daring black dress as she attended a bash for Notion magazine at restaurant venue STK.

The chart star dazzled fans in the cheeky number, which featured a halter-neck back and utterly sleeveless design.

She accessorised with a simple black clutch bag and plenty of smokey make-up around her eyes.

Opting for a more adventurous hairstyle, she had clearly applied some wet-look get for a more high-fashion inspired look.

Continuing to amp-up her sex appeal for the evening, she also sported some lace-up shoes, which certainly helped the singer/songwriter garner plenty of attention.

In an interview with the magazine, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant opened up about her nearly five-year long romance with her man, Oliver Cheshire, admitting that she gets frustrated over the attention that accompanies it.

'Honestly, people are obsessed with it!' she pointed out, when asked about marriage.

'I don't know, I always get asked "when are you getting married?" As soon as I started going out with Oliver I was asked it, and I still get asked in it every interview.'

And, perhaps more tellingly, in a recent interview in Marie Claire she admitted it'll be a while before they do walk down the aisle.

She told the magazine : 'I love small weddings in a different country, but I like massive ones in England, so maybe I'll have two.

'But I'm not thinking of getting married yet because I'm still so young.'
