Pixie Lott has been mixing things up with her make-up and yesterday evening (12 February), she showed off her latest experiment – floating eyeliner!
Nope, we're not kidding, this really is a thing! While we're used to slicking kohl along the bottom or top of our eyes, make-up artists have been getting creative by drawing a line just above the crease of the eyelid.

Quite a bold look, right?
This trend first kicked off in 2012, where it was spotted at both Erdem and Mary Katrantzou shows during London Fashion Week.
But Italian designer Giambattista Valli is bringing it back for this summer! MAC make-up artists at his preview spring/summer '15 show sent models down the runway in the unique look.
And keen to get ahead of the trend, Pixie has already decided to get involved!
The 'Mama Do' singer opted for a thick black line that she drew above her crease. Leaving her dramatic eyes as the main attention, she finished off her look with a few coats of mascara and nude pout.
We think we'll be sticking to our classic feline flicks rather than a floating line, but if you fancy having a go, it's probably worth getting a long-lasting eyeliner. A smudged or faded version of this would be a major faux pas!
A budge-free and purse-friendly option is Max Factor's ColourXpert Waterproof Liner (£6.99). Its applicator will give you a super precise line and the formula means this will last from day to night without a single smudge.
